| SmartMinimizer in action |
Instead of cluttering your taskbar with buttons,
SmartMinimizer shows a minimized window
as a taskbar notifications area icon (please notice the minimized
Internet Explorer window shown as an icon in the picture to the right).
If a window is minimized, it can be restored either by clicking its
icon in the taskbar notifications area or by using the 'Restore window'
menu from the SmartMinimizer’s menu.
Advanced options allow you to completely hide the window (i.e. no notifications area icon is created),
change the icon displayed for the minimized windows,
set up filters that deny or allow
taskbar notification area minimization for specific windows
based on the window’s caption (title) and more.
You might find SmartMinimizer useful
when you want to get rid of console windows popping up annoyingly,
hide applications that should run in the background or
even protect your windows from all those curious eyes behind you.
SmartMinimizer also implements an extensive
context sensitive help to assist you on better customization of the way the windows are
minimized while using this application.
You can freely download and try SmartMinimizer as
shareware.
The only limitation in the shareware version
is that 1 hour after Windows was started,
every 30 minutes one of the minimized windows
(randomly picked) is restored.
Buying the full version of SmartMinimizer you will
receive all the minor updates of the current version for free.
